At the time I knew NOTHING about publishing or writing (thought I was supposed to use as many adverbs as possible *cringe*). I wrote two of the three, but now I feel like I can go back and rewrite it, and make it a strong series (though, a stand alone, of course!)

Thank you for sharing your tips - they are very helpful! :DAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5720082623464094535.post-63296184835214617732015-01-22T11:39:17.127+00:002015-01-22T11:39:17.127+00:00It really is! :)It really is! :)ELAdamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11390894357209056149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5720082623464094535.post-20290666416389018272015-01-21T07:34:08.473+00:002015-01-21T07:34:08.473+00:00So much great advice! In your darkworld series you really notice that each book has it's own storyline while there is still an overarching plot, kinda like with Harry Potter indeed. I found it interesting to hear about your writing process and how you plan whether it will be a series or standalone from the start.Lolahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14284689418552571180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5720082623464094535.post-90512336705389958252015-01-19T20:23:25.416+00:002015-01-19T20:23:25.416+00:00Thank you! :) Aha, you'll have to wait and see...Thank you! :) Aha, you'll have to wait and see...ELAdamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11390894357209056149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5720082623464094535.post-50984698815986646102015-01-19T20:18:23.998+00:002015-01-19T20:18:23.998+00:00Fantastic post! It's extremely important that each book in a series has it's own plot, but with a little thread to link them all, and that the stakes raise with each one. It's not the same world. It's actually a different world in each book, but the collection of characters is the same. The premise is these characters are world-hopping in search of a cure for the main character's father.

These are good tips.
